Storyboard Shots
Establishing Shot: Finding a place to film this shot was easy but waiting for my neighbor's music to stop in order to capture the serenity of the setting was next to impossible.
Eye-Level Shot: This shot was easy to take as I simply needed to take a video of Brandon at his eye level.
Close Up Shot: An easy shot that simply consisted of me focusing the camera on an apple.
Extreme Close-Up: This shot was a little difficult in terms of getting the camera to focus onto the eye without being blurry from such a close angle. Would have been easier with a real camera.
High Angle Shot: This shot was somewhat nerve racking as I had to take the video while on a ladder.
POV Shot: A hard shot to do and probably could have looked more realistic if I had someone hold the camera for me so that I could show both hands as opposed to one.
Reaction Shot: Find a scary video. Convince brother to watch it. Get a raw reaction. Success!
Head-on Shot: This shot took many more takes than it should have but we kept crashing into each other or he would run away from the camera messing up the video.
Flash Shot: This shot was pretty easy to do. Just turned off the lights and used the flashlight from a phone to illuminate his face for a moment to create a shocking effect.
Medium Shot: Really easy to do. Just had to take a shot of the subject from his knees to the top of his head while he preformed whatever action he wanted to.
Low Angle Shot: A little bit more difficult as I had to lay down on the floor to take the video but nothing too hard.
I enjoyed the extreme close up shot because it made the scene more intense. Also, the high angle shot was a really good idea and made the boy shooting more exciting because it seemed as if he were throwing the ball close to you as the viewer. The point of view shot was also really cute because seeing the little boy's reaction to Miguel throwing the apple was adorable. Lastly, I enjoyed the low angle shot because it not only captures the boy's face when he looks at the book, but also the book he chose; this makes the scene more understanding.
ReplyDeleteMiguel did a very good job with all shots. unlike many other blogs he was able to change the subject and the surrounding backgrounds, this made the pictures overall more appealing to viewer. The establishing shot right away made me feel very peaceful, as if i was standing under the trees. I could almost feel the wind blowing. The close up shot of the apple honesty made me hungry with the details of the bight red apple. The high angle shot felt as if i was a bird viewing the basket ball player. With this shot i was able to see the surroundings area, adding to the shot. The head-on shot felt as if i was about to be ran over by the determined basketball player. I almost felt like i was meant to block him from making the basket.
ReplyDelete1)Low angle shot: I was really interested and curious in the type of book he picked out, kinda wish you zoomed in so i can read the title.
ReplyDelete2)Reaction shot: This shot looked funny and again made me curious. Makes the audience want to figure out what is making your brother react that way.
3)Establishing shot: Really enjoyed the scenery and the chairs popped out at me more.
4)Close up shot: This shot also looked/seemed similar to a head on shot the way you shot it, but it made me feel the need to eat more.
My favorite shot was your establishing shot because it was so pretty and calming. If this shot was in a movie or show it would help the viewer understand the setting.
ReplyDeleteYour high angle shot was very cute. The way the camera looked down on your brother made him look even smaller and the hoop look even taller. This would help the viewer grow attached to him as he might seem "small and vulnerable" because of the angle.
I thought your reaction shot was very funny to watch. Beacause his reaction was so vivid it made me wonder what video he was watching that made him react like that.
I also thought your flash shot was funny. As the frame is dark at the beginning it created suspense and tension as the viewer had to wait for something to happen. Once he flashed onto the frame he scares the viewer watching it.
1) High Angle Shot- I really liked your high angle shot. I thought that it was risky that you stood on a ladder to take the shot. It's good to be a risk taker in film class. Also, I thought that it was funny how Alan tried making a shot into the basket. The shot came out nice and the camera wasn't shaky.
ReplyDelete2) I loved your establishing shot. I liked the setting and emotion it evoked. The camera was set at a good angle that helped the shot come out great. Also, establishing shots are one of my favorites.
3) I thought this shot was really funny. I felt like I truly saw Alan through your eyes. The camera wasn't shaky and I loved how Alan barely caught the apple. He's a good brother for helping you out and a good subject for the shot.
4) The full shot was one of your best shots. You captured the full frame of the subject and and the subject fit perfectly. I liked the setting of the shot and the angle. Also, I found the commentary funny because of how you bribed the subject with M&Ms.
