5 Master Edits (with Audio)

Contrast
In these contrast clips, we began with a direct sound through the conversation held between Woody and Jonathan. A direct conversation between the individuals helps create a more genuine mood for talking as opposed to talking that is done off-screen. The second part of the contrast clip involved a voice-over conducted by Woody. The voice-over was made in order to give the audience a clear understanding of Woody's poor actions of pushing me to the ground. The nerve!

Parallelism
Throughout the parallelism clips, the music from "Today was a Good Day" by Ice Cube was playing. The song helped enhance the mood and connect the scenes between me and Woody walking towards each other.

Symbolism
Through both clips, we played a "dream harp" sound which can be considered a non-diegetic sound. It was later implemented into the video so as to create the transition between the two scenes and give the impression that the fake camera can really turn into a real camera.

Simultaneity
As Woody and I were walking up the stairs, the original soundtrack of Death Note's "ABC" played in the background so as to create a sound bridge between the cross-cutting shots. The original soundtrack of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure: Golden Wind "Il vento d'oro (Main Theme)" played so as to contrast the suspenseful feeling up walking up the stairs to music that felt more revealing as the background of Woody and my shots became evident.

Leitmotif
The music of Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" played in the background as Woody headed towards the finish line. Eye of the Tiger is an iconic song that is associated with many sports film and is easily recognizable for any audience (unless you're like five years old). The song serves to give the Woody the fighting mentality to finish the race despite being near exhaustion emphasized through his initial fall.
